Triple Bondi Burger
Equipment
- Fry pan
- Tongs
- Mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken breast (thinly sliced)
- 1½ tbsp Crushed garlic
- 1½ tbsp Grated ginger
- 1 tbsp White vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sweet paprika
- ½ tbs Garlic powder
- ½ tsp Onion powder
- ½ tsp Chilli powder
- 1 tsp Caster sugar
- 1 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 Lemon (juiced)
- Salt & white pepper
Coating
- ¾ cups Plain flour
- ½ cup Bread crumbs
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- Salt & white pepper
Burger Ingredients
- 6 Seeded buns (tip top burger buns)
- 6 slices Gouda cheese
- Oportos chilli sauce
- Cos lettuce
- Mayonaise (kewpie mayo is great)
Instructions
- In a bowl add the sliced chicken and all the herbs, spices, white vinegar and lemon juice. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes to an hour. However, the longer the better.
- Combine the flour, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Coat each piece of chicken and set aside ready to fry.
- Heat your frypan with some olive oil and cook the chicken for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden. Cook on a medium heat to prevent the crumbs from burning.
- Prepare the burger by adding mayonaise then lettuce, three pieces of the chicken, cheese and extra mayo on the top bun (subject to preference).
