Honey Soy Wings
Equipment
- Mixing bowl
- Baking tray
- Large Ziplock Bag
- Tongs
- Foil
Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken Wings
- 4 tbsp Honey
- 4 tbsp Sweet Soy Sauce
- 4 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 6 Garlic Cloves (crushed)
- ⅓ cup Spring Onion (sliced)
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add all the marinade ingredients and mix until combined. Taste test the marinade to ensure that it is balanced.
- Place the chicken and marinade in a ziplock bag. Ideally, allow to marinate for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight. Every few hours, rotate the bag to ensure the marinade is evenly distributed onto the chicken.
- Preheat the Oven to 200°. Place the chicken onto a baking tray ensuring it is skin side up. Pour the remaining marinade over the chicken within the tray. Cover with foil and allow the chicken to cook through completely.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove the foil and return it into the oven to allow the chicken to become golden. Every 2 to 3 minutes, baste the chicken with the marinade that is already in the tray. Once golden, garnish with sesame seeds and spring onion.
