Orange & Poppy Seed Loaf
This Orange & Poppy Seed Loaf will become a family favourite in your house in no time.
Equipment
- Mixing bowl
- Electric hand mixer
- Loaf tin
Ingredients
- 125 g Unsalted butter (softened)
- 3 Large eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 200 g Caster sugar
- 225 g Self raising flour
- ½ cup Milk
- 1 tbsp Orange zest
- ¼ cup Orange juice
- ¼ cup Poppy seeds
cream cheese frosting
- 250 g Cream cheese (softened)
- ¼ cup Orange juice
- 3 tbsp Icing sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°. Cream the butter in a bowl with a electric hand mixer. Once butter is pale and creamy add the eggs. Wisk until combined.
- Add the remainder of the ingridients and wisk until combined. Place into a greased tray. Cook for 45 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.
Cream cheese frosting
- Beat the softened cream cheese for 3-4 minutes, once fluffy add the orange juice and icing sugar. beat until combined.
